Supreme Court
An appellate court of last resort. The Supreme Court of Ohio is the highest court in Ohio, and the United States Supreme Court is the highest court in the nation. In New York, however, the court called the supreme court is a trial court with jurisdiction similar to Ohio's court of common pleas.
