Separation Agreement
A contract entered into between a husband and wife in connection with a divorce or dissolution of marriage. Typically, the agreement covers such things as child custody, child support, parenting time, division of property, and spousal support. Generally, these agreements are made a part of a court order granting a divorce. A separation agreement that has been approved by the court is required for dissolution of marriage.
