Durable Power of Attorney For Health Care

A legal document (also called a "health care power of attorney" or "DPOA") that authorizes another person (called an attorney-in-fact) to make health care decisions for the maker of the power of attorney when the maker is not competent to make such decisions. See attorney-in-fact, competence, Do Not Resuscitate order, fiduciary, living will.
