Does Ohio have a telephone bill of rights?
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) has adopted a bill of rights for telephone customers in Ohio.
The bill of rights and other consumer protection rules protect consumers and give them legal remedies against:
- “slamming” or “cramming” customers
- unreasonable late fees or other charges
- deceptive pricing or service terms and conditions
- poor installation or repair service
- excessive security deposits, and
- other
consumer scams and abuses.
