Welcome to the Domestic Violence Resource Center!
We hope this site will provide you a quick and efficient way to access legal information pertaining to domestic violence and stalking, as well as a way to keep abreast of changes in the law. Some of the highlights of this site include a searchable database of Ohio statutes and case summaries relating to domestic violence, alerts regarding proposed or new changes in the law, and tips for lay advocates - including methods to provide effective service without engaging in the unauthorized practice of law.
This section of the site lists the statutes of
the Ohio Revised Code on stalking and domestic violence that are found in
electronic form on the Anderson Publishing and the Ohio House of Representatives
web sites. Clicking on a link found here will open a second browser window
displaying the appropriate statute.
This section of the site provides a list of
summaries related to domestic violence and stalking cases. Case summaries may be
selected by clicking on the category links listed below, or by typing in
appropriate keywords. When using the search-by-keyword option, use lower case
type and separate multiple words by a comma and a space. Other case summaries
will be added to these categories as they become available.

This section provides a link a free, online tools to prepare domestic violence and stalking forms. This section also links to a page where you can print out a copy
of the fill-in-blank forms that you must file with the Court to get a Domestic
Violence Civil Protection Order or a Stalking Protection Order.
