              <p begin="00:00:06.00" end="00:00:10.70">After all the evidence has been presented, and all the witnesses have testified,</p>
              <p begin="00:00:10.80" end="00:00:15.90">the attorneys get a chance to address the jury or the court one last time.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:16.00" end="00:00:21.30">This is called “closing arguments.”  Often, this is the most dramatic part of the trial,</p>
              <p begin="00:00:21.40" end="00:00:24.20">and the part that you see on television or in the movies.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:24.30" end="00:00:31.60">Each side gets the opportunity to summarize its case and tell the jury what the evidence showed or proved.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:31.70" end="00:00:37.40">The plaintiff uses closing arguments to tell the jury how each piece of evidence fits together</p>
              <p begin="00:00:37.50" end="00:00:42.80">to create the fabric of the case and how the plaintiff met his or her burden of proof.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:42.90" end="00:00:48.30">The defendant’s closing argument states in what areas the plaintiff failed to prove its case,</p>
              <p begin="00:00:48.40" end="00:00:54.80">and the defendant may also summarize what evidence was given that would clear the defendant of any wrongdoing.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:54.90" end="00:01:02.20">Because the plaintiff has the burden of proof, the plaintiff gets to go first and last in closing arguments.</p>
