              <p begin="00:00:05.60" end="00:00:10.30">Every county in Ohio has a probate court and a juvenile court.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:10.40" end="00:00:16.80">These two courts are combined into one court in many counties called the “probate/juvenile court.”</p>
              <p begin="00:00:16.90" end="00:00:22.30">The probate portion administers estates of people who died both with and without wills.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:22.40" end="00:00:27.60">It also protects people’s property and safety through guardianships and trusts.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:27.70" end="00:00:32.30">It also issues marriage licenses and keeps records of county marriages.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:32.40" end="00:00:37.60">On the juvenile side, it oversees activities of children under 18 such as</p>
              <p begin="00:00:37.70" end="00:00:42.50">traffic offenses, criminal activities, and severe behavior problems.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:42.60" end="00:00:48.80">The court also monitors the actions of adults against children, such as in neglect and abuse.</p>
              <p begin="00:00:48.90" end="00:00:51.90">The court functions to protect children.</p>
