Description:

The Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP) encourages private attorneys to provide indigent clients with free legal services regarding issues that are within each attorney's area(s) of expertise. Pro bono bankruptcies are available to clients on a very strict and limited basis in Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Wayne Counties. Volunteer lawyers are desperately needed to provide free bankruptcy services in those counties. Note that not all counties accept all of the case types or offer all of the services checked under 'Practice Areas.' VLSP does not accept contempt defense, criminal defense, class action, or fee-generating cases. If you need legal help, please call our HelpLine at 1-800-998-9454, Monday thru Friday, 9am to 4pm.
