Legal Education

Document  Age Discrimination Act of 1975 - It is the purpose of this chapter to prohibit discrimination on the basis of age in programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance.  
Document  Disabled Renters' Housing Rights - When seeking a rental, landlords are not allowed to ask you whether or not you have a disability or illness, or ask to see your medical records. After moving in, your landlord may have to provide you with accommodations, at the landlord's expense, and your landlord may have to allow you to make reasonable modifications to your living unit at your own expense.  
Document  Fair Housing Act - It is the policy of the United States to provide, within constitutional limitations, for fair housing throughout the United States.  
Document  Renter's Rights Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination - Know your rights if a landlord won't rent to you because you are gay or lesbian.  
Document  Section 109 of Title I of the Housing & Community Development Act - Section 109 provides that no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, national origin, religion, or sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity funded in whole or in part with Federal financial assistance.  
Document  Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act - No otherwise qualified individual with a disability in the United States, shall, solely by reason of his or her disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.  
Document  Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act - No qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from participation in or be denied the benefits of the services, programs, or activities of a public entity, or be subjected to discrimination by any such entity.  
Document  Title IX of the1972 Education Amendments - Prohibition against discrimination with some exceptions.  
Document  Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
