Americans with Disabilities Act & People Living with HIV/AIDS
- Persons with HIV disease, both symptomatic and
asymptomatic, have physical impairments that substantially limit one or more major life activities and are, therefore, protected by the law.
Health & Human Services Discrimination: Persons w/HIV Infection or AIDS
- Federal aws that prohibit discrimination by health care and human service providers include Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 ("Section 504"), and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA").
