Domestic Violence

Prepare the Forms to Get Court Protection
From Domestic Violence or Stalking

If you or a family member are being physically abused or threatened with harm by a family or household member (person living in your home, even if not related to you by marriage or blood) you can apply for a Domestic Violence Civil Protection Order. Click here to complete this form.

  If you or a family member fear for your safety because you are being threatened with harm, followed, or harassed by a person (relative or stranger), you can apply for a Domestic Violence Stalking Protection Order. Click here to complete this form.
  If you are an advocate who is assisting an individual who is a victim of domestic violence or staking, click here to complete this form.

Document  Ohio Stalking and Menacing Law - Criminal Penalties - Stalking and menacing are illegal in the state of Ohio. Normally, a first conviction of "menacing by stalking" is a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable by up to six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. However, the crime of menacing of stalking is upgraded to a felony of the fourth degree under certain circumstances.
