- This information sheet provides an overview of several legal forms of action including divorce, dissolution of marriage, legal separation and civil protection orders.
Ohio Stalking and Menacing Law - Criminal Penalties
- Stalking and menacing are illegal in the state of Ohio. Normally, a first conviction of "menacing by stalking" is a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable by up to six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. However, the crime of menacing of stalking is upgraded to a felony of the fourth degree under certain circumstances.
